A l\u2019\u00e9poque o\u00f9 j\u2019habitais en Australie, j\u2019ai constat\u00e9 que la saison annuelle la plus importante est No\u00ebl, m\u00eame que le temps \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud est bien diff\u00e9r\u00e9 de celui de l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord. Bref, la culture domine le climat\u00a0! La culture populaire en Australie et un m\u00e9lange de celle des Britanniques et des Irlandais.<\/p>

Plus tard je travaillais au Br\u00e9sil, un pays bien diff\u00e9rent. No\u00ebl est une saison importante, mais la P\u00e2ques est plus importante. Entre No\u00ebl et la P\u00e2ques on a le Carnaval, le weekend avant mardi-gras. La P\u00e2ques suive la premi\u00e8re pleine lune de printemps, et le carnaval suive la derni\u00e8re nouvelle lune hivernale.<\/p>

Bien que la P\u00e2ques est une f\u00eate religieuse, le carnaval est une f\u00eate la\u00efque. Il fait chaud au Br\u00e9sil, en \u00e9t\u00e9, et un grand spectacle en plein air, mais pas au clair de la lune, convient tout le monde. Le mot carnaval signifie \u00ab\u00a0adieu la viande\u00a0\u00bb. Le mercredi de Cendres qui suive le carnaval est le d\u00e9but de Car\u00eame o\u00f9 les fid\u00e8les jeunent pendant quarante jours.<\/p>

La grande ville de Rio de Janeiro a une Stade d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 Samba, une Sambadrome. Tous les f\u00e9vriers, de vendredi \u00e0 mardi, au weekend de Carnaval, les \u00e9coles de Samba d\u00e9filent le long de la Sambadrome, un concours incompr\u00e9hensible aux \u00e9trangers\u00a0!<\/p>
